My Background

I was born and raised in Guyana where I received my primary and secondary education, after which I spent three years in the United Kingdom obtaining my Bachelor of Engineering Degree. I have since worked (full time) with the State Planning Secretariat of the Government of Guyana, and the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College in the British Virgin Islands.

Work Experience

I have had three full time jobs since I left school at the age of 18 after completing my Advance Level Examinations:

» Lecturer (H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, BVI) from Jan 02 to present.
» Systems Analyst/Engineer (Ministry of Finance, Guyana) from Sep 95 to May 01.
» CSR/Teller (National Bank of Industry and Commerce, Guyana) from Aug 91 to Aug 92.

I also own my own database and web development company (ficara n.v.) and I've worked on numerous database and web design projects through this company:
